Recipe: Ultimate M&M Flapjacks

Ingredients
- 150g oats
- 100g demerara sugar
- 100g Golden syrup
- 100g Cold chopped butter
- 50g plain flour
- Pinch of salt
- 75g caster sugar
- 50ml double cream
- 25g cold unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 50g dark chocolate
- 50g double cream
Method
Flapjacks
- Put your oats, demerara sugar, golden syrup, butter, plain flour, and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl
- Mix it together with your hands until all mixed through - especially the butter
- Put it in a 7" baking tin and bake at 170°C (Gas Mark 3; 325°F) for 20 minutes
Caramel
- Dry heat the sugar until it caramelizes and is golden
- Add all ingredients into pan and stir
- Add back onto heat and mix until fully combined
- Pour over flapjack
- Sprinkle Crispy M&Ms
- Leave to cool completely
Chocolate Ganache
- Heat cream and chocolate over water until completely mixed
- Pour over flapjack and add Peanut M&M’s
- Allow to cool and set
- Serve and enjoy!
