Recipe: Crunchie Millionaire's Shortbread

We've added a Crunchie twist to the classic Millionaire's Shortbread!
It's a really easy to make recipe for this weekend, and perfect if you need an energy boost after a long week!

Ingredients

Shortbread
- 150g Butter
- 50g Caster Sugar
- 150g Plain Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 397g Condensed Milk
- 150g Butter
- 150g Brown Sugar
- 100g Milk Chocolate
- 200g Dark Chocolate
- 1-4 Crunchies
Method
- Mix butter with sugar and vanilla extract, and then mix in the flour until combined
- Pour into a baking tin and spread out evenly, poke with holes and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown
- Leave to cool before adding the caramel
- To make the caramel over a medium heat, mix butter and sugar until fully combined, then add the condensed milk and stir over a high heat until mixture has thickened - then remove from heat
- Pour caramel over cooled shortbread and leave to cool
- Combine milk & dark chocolate together and melt; pour the melted chocolate over the caramel
- With a spoon, spread the chocolate so that it completely coats the caramel
- Now liberally coat the chocolate with crunchie pieces and chill in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours
