  • Asparagus
  • Slices of cheese
  • Butter
  • Cooking oil
  • Paprika

Method

  1. Pour cooking oil and sprinkle paprika power in a pan and put on a medium heat
  2. Once the oil is hot, place the asparagus in the pan and cook for 4 mins
  3. Once your 4 mins is up, crack the egg in the pan next to the asparagus
  4. Pop your bread in the toaster to get it started (some bread takes longer than others to toast)
  5. Once your asparagus and egg are ready, butter your toast
  6. Lay the asparagus on one slice, then the cheese and egg on top and then lay the other slice on top.
  7. Place in the microwave for 30 seconds to melt the cheese
  8. Once finished, cut your toastie in half
  9. Serve your toastie on a plate, pack in foil or a lunch box to eat on the go

This breakfast is super adaptable. If you are a vegan, you can leave out the egg and swap the

cheese and butter for vegan alternatives. If you need this to be a gluten-free breakfast, opt for a suitable bread and join in on the fun. Fancy a bit of extra protein too? Try adding a couple of slices of your favourite ham for the best combination.
