Great British Bake Off Special: Cinnamon & Nutella Cake

Ingredients
- 175g softened butter
- 175g golden caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 200g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 tbsp milk
- 4 tbsp Nutella
- 50g hazelnuts
Method
- Pre-heat your oven to 180°C
- Butter and line the base of a 20cm round cake tin
- Put the eggs, sugar, butter, baking powder, milk and cinnamon into your mixing bowl and beat for 2-3 minutes, until light and fluffy
- Next, pour three quarters of your mixture into the cake tin and spread it so it’s completely level.
- Spoon the Nutella on the top, into four blobs
- Top with the remaining mixture and swirl a couple of times to create patterns with a skewer
- Smooth to cover the Nutella
- Sprinkle the nuts over the cake
- Bake for 45mins - 1 hour until it’s risen and is nicely browned. Cool for ten minutes and serve.
