08 April 2020
A super-quick family meal with a spicy kick! You will need:
- An oven with a hob
- A microwave
- A large, deep frying pan or wok
- A wooden or silicone spoon
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 1
Category: Beef
Ingredients
- Olive oil (as required)
- Curry-flavoured instant noodles (1 pack per person)
- Ground beef (250g per person)
- Beef-flavoured gravy granules (½ teaspoon per person)
- Chopped french green beans (40g per person)
- Steamed veg - carrots, broccoli, cauliflower (1 bag per person)
Method
- Add a generous splash of oil to your frying pan and turn it up to a medium heat.
- After about a minute, add your ground beef - thoroughly breaking it up with your spoon.
- Simmer the beef for around 7 minutes, adding the chopped green beans halfway through.
- While the beef is cooking, pop the bags of steam veg into the microwave. One bag should be ready in 4 minutes, but you should add around 50% to the cooking time for each additional bag you put in.
- Add the instant noodles to the beef and sprinkle in the curry seasoning from the small packs inside.
- Pour in a little boiling water and sprinkle in the gravy granules to thicken.
- Bring the mix to the boil, adding water until the sauce is as thick or runny as you like it and the noodles are soft.
- When you’re happy, stir in the steamed veg and heat the dish through.
- Spoon the noodles into bowls and serve!
B&M Top Tip: You can make the beef extra rich and tender if you prepare it in a slow cooker.
