Shoppers in Scunthorpe Excited for Unveiling of New B&M Store
29 January 2022
Shoppers in Scunthorpe’s Carlton Street were excited this morning, to witness the unveiling of their much anticipated new B&M Store.
The store has created more than 20 jobs for people in the local community, and customers will find an extensive range of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, health and beauty, cleaning, pet food, gifts, seasonal products, DIY essentials and homeware. There is also a wide range of quality electricals, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.
Colleagues of the store were asked to nominate a local charity to unveil the new store, deciding on The Forge Project to cut the ribbon. The Forge Project is a charity that offers food and vital support services to the homeless and roofless of North Lincolnshire.
To thank The Forge Project for opening the store, they also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping them to continue doing the vital work they do in the community.
A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people during these difficult times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
Furthermore, the store manager said: “The Forge Project really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, especially during the pandemic. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.”
