Relocation of B&M's Market Drayton Store Complete
16 November 2019
The long-awaited grand reopening of B&M's store in Market Drayton has arrived.
The refitting process to bring the store up to a more modern design, and larger space, is complete and has been reopened on Towers Lane, Cheshire Street.
The store employed 25 colleagues originally, but the refitting work has seen an additional 30 locals hired.
Colleagues nominated Market Drayton Foodbank, to be given some VIP treatment, and as a thank you, were given £250 worth of vouchers.
The foodbank provide nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
Alongside the Foodbank was Lord Mayor, Cllr Roger Smith, who cut the ceremonial ribbon.
The store manager, Dan Taylor, said: “The team from Market Drayton Foodbank really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
