The discount retailer has taken possession of the former Clas Ohlson store and has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme before officially opening its doors today.
Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, baby food and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.
Store staff were delighted to welcome representatives from Nugent Foodbank as their VIP, who were invited to cut the ribbon on opening day.
Nugent Foodbank is supported by a group of volunteers who run a weekly food market and hamper delivery service to support people of all ages and backgrounds including working families, young mothers and older people from sheltered accommodation.
In addition to opening the store, the charity also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to their great work in the community.
The store manager at B&M Clayton Square said: “Nugent Foodbank really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, and continue to do. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.”
They also commented: “Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open.”
