New Scotland Store Brings B&M Savings to Elgin Shoppers
20 June 2015
B&M’s big savings can now be found the length and breadth of the UK after its new store opened in Elgin on Saturday.
One of the country’s fastest growing retailers, B&M were PROUD to open its latest store at the former Homebase on the Springfield Retail Park, creating 50 jobs.
The Home Store & Garden Centre becomes the most northerly B&M store in the UK, meaning shoppers from Moray, all the way down to Redruth, Cornwall can benefit from everyday B&M savings.
And to help mark the occasion, B&M store staff were joined by representatives from the local branch of Help for Heroes, who were invited to cut the ribbon on a landmark day.
The charity – which supports members of the armed forces who have suffered injury or illness as a result of service – was chosen by staff to recognise a local cause renowned for its charity work in the community.
As well as cutting the ribbon as B&M’s VIP guests, Help for Heroes representatives received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for opening the store and were on hand to backpack for further fundraising throughout the day.
Bob Sahota, store manager for B&M Elgin said: “We are really proud to have created 50 jobs and to continue playing our part in the local community.
“We have been excited to get the doors open after a long wait, and we look forward to providing great value products and world class service to B&M customers.”
Shoppers at the new Home Store & Garden Centre will benefit from B&M’s collection of quality own label products as well as an extensive selection of branded goods, including groceries and toiletries.
The store will also stock an extensive range of homewares including cushions, curtains, rugs and bedding, while its Garden Centre will host everything from outdoor furniture to plants and BBQs.
