New B&M Store Opens in Hoyland
10 October 2019
Hoyland welcomed it's first ever B&M store, with the opening of a brand new unit on Market Street.
Eager customers queued on Thursday morning, keen to be the first customers through B&M's doors.
As part of the opening day festivities, Barnsley Hospice were nominated by store colleagues as their chosen charity, donating £250 worth of vouchers as a thank you for all of the hard work they do for the community.
The hospice provides specialist palliative care to local people with life-limiting illnesses. The team strive to improve the quality of life for patients and their families by providing pain and symptom relief, spiritual and social support; and counselling and bereavement services.
The store, which has created 30 new jobs in the region, contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.
The store manager, Adam Pollock, said: “The team at Barnsley Hospice really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give something back as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
