New B&M in Yeovil Opened By Local Charity
03 May 2014
B&M has created over 60 jobs in Yeovil after opening at the former PC World and Allied Carpets on Lysander Road in the town.
The 21,000sq ft store was opened on Saturday 3rd May by the Yeovil Branch of Diabetes UK. The charity received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for opening the store last week. It was the store colleagues themselves who selected the charity which they would like to support and see ‘cut the ribbon’ following a number of great nominations from the local community in Yeovil.
Diabetes UK were also on hand throughout the weekend to pack bags for customers and raise some additional funds for the charity.
Mike Hedley, Store Manager at B&M Yeovil said: “We are delighted to play a part in the local community with the opening of our first store in Yeovil. We are also honoured to have the Yeovil branch of Diabetes UK open the new store. Having the community nominate the local charity to mark the store’s first day makes it extra special”.
