B&M has created another 60 jobs in Doncaster after opening at the former Comet on the Danum Retail Park in the town.
The 14,000sq ft store was opened on Thursday 1st May by representatives from local charity Firefly. Firefly and their seven seat vehicles known as ‘Firefly Expresses’ take cancer patients and their families living in the Doncaster area to over 100 appointments in Sheffield every week. The charity was nominated by members of the local community and received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for ‘cutting the ribbon’ to officially mark the opening the store. Firefly were also joined by the Elected Mayor of Doncaster who kindly accepted an invitation to be part of the store’s opening morning too.
Glen Spray, Store Manager at B&M Doncaster Danum said: “We are delighted to play a part in the local community with the opening of our second store in Doncaster. We are also honoured to have Firefly officially open the new store. Having our community personally select the local charity to mark the store’s first day makes it extra special”.
