Local Hero Opens New B&M Store on The Isle of Sheppey
17 September 2014
B&M has created 60 jobs on the Isle of Sheppey after opening a new store on the island. The finishing touches were made to the 19,000 sq ft store on Neatscourt Retail Park which opened on Wednesday 17th September and a deserving member of the community had the chance to be a VIP for the morning.
The search was on for a local hero to open the new B&M Bargains store; heroes were nominated by friends, family or work colleagues and could have been someone who made life better for people in the area, worked hard for a particular cause or was renowned for their charity work.
Adam Lofthouse B&M’s Store Manager at Neatscourt said: “We wanted a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around the Isle of Sheppey”.
We were not judging by age or the type of support, we just wanted someone who goes that extra mile and who we can give something back to for a change”.
The worthy winner also received £250 worth of vouchers to spend in store.
