Local Charity Helps Open Brand New Saffron Walden B&M Store

Support for Sight were VIPs this morning at the unveiling of B&M's brand new Saffron Walden store on Knight Retail Park.
As part of the opening day process, colleagues nominated the local charity to thank them for all of the hard work they do for the community. As a further thank you from B&M, the trust were given £250 worth of vouchers to go towards the charity.
The charity help people with sight loss, as well as their carers and families. Their expert colleagues and volunteers provide services to help people come to terms with losing their sight.
The Lord Mayor, Cllr Arthur Coote, was also in attendance to cut the ceremonial ribbon.
The store, which has created 60 new jobs in the region, contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.
The store manager, Ash Chaudry, said: “The team at Support For Sight really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
