Fareham Shopping Centre Welcomes New B&M Store
17 March 2018
There was plenty of excitement in Fareham today as B&M opened up its new store in Fareham Shopping Centre.
The addition to B&M's portfolio in the region comes as a huge boost to the local economy, creating more than 40 jobs for people from the area.
Visitors to the store will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.
As part of the opening celebrations, B&M employees invited local charity, The Rainbow Centre, to be their VIP for the day. The local Mayor, Cllr Geoff Fazackarlay and the Mayoress, Tina, were also in attendance.
The foundation inspire and support children with Cerebral Palsy and adults with stroke, MS and Parkinson’s adult Cerebral Palsy, Head Injury, as well as their families.
They provide a wide range of services at their centre on Palmerston Drive to encourage and help children and participants to develop and reach their full potential.
They were handed £250 worth of vouchers to spend in-store as a thank you for their hard work in the community, and for opening the new store.
The store manager, Simon Couldwell, said: “The team from The Rainbow Centre really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “The new team have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day and we can’t wait to get the doors open next Saturday and show customers their new B&M Fareham.”
Mike Taylor, Centre Manager of Fareham Shopping Centre, commented: “We are delighted to be welcoming B&M as a new tenant to Fareham Shopping Centre, adding variety to our strong retail mix of fashion and lifestyle brands.
“We look forward to the big unveil on Saturday 17th March with the help of The Rainbow Centre.”
