Dozens of Jobs Created as B&M Opens New Store in Craigavon
14 March 2019
More than 30 jobs were created with the grand opening of the brand new B&M store in Lurgan, Craigavon this morning.
The former Lidl new store has seen a major internal and external development programme undertaken to make sure it's ready for customers.
Colleagues were given the choice of which charity they'd like to act as VIPs to officially open the new store, and chose Craigavon Samaritans to take centre stage and cut the ribbon in front of excited customers.
The charity offers help and support to anyone who needs it. It doesn’t matter what a person may be going through - the Samaritans are always there to help.
As a thank you for the hard work they do in the community, and for helping to open the new B&M store, the charity have been handed £250 worth of vouchers.
A wide range of branded products are available to purchase in-store, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty, and seasonal.
The store manager, Mark McCann, said: “The team from Craigavon Samaritans really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have worked really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
