Cowdenbeath Welcomes New B&M Store
19 October 2019
B&M was welcomed to Cowdenbeath with open arms today following the latest store opening in Scotland.
Eager customers queued on Saturday morning, keen to be the first customers through B&M's doors.
As part of the opening day festivities, Sense Scotland were nominated by store colleagues as their chosen charity, donating £250 worth of vouchers as a thank you for all of the hard work they do for the community.
Sense Scotland work with young people in the local community to help them reach their full potential. They do this through a variety of services such as anger management, counselling and much more.
Alongside the charity, local Provost, Jim Leisham, was also in attendance.
The store, which has created 50 new jobs in the region, contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.
The store manager, Colin Simpson, said: “The team at Sense Scotland really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Saturday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
