Brand New B&M Store Launches in Willowburn Retail Park, Alnwick

This morning at 9am on Thursday 28^th November 2024, B&M proudly opened the doors to its brand-new discount store, located at Willowburn Retail Park in Alnwick.

The launch of this brand-new store is a much-awaited addition to the area, providing a significant boost to the local economy and providing the Alnwick community with more jobs.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The discount retailer has taken possession of a new build store in the retail park, where B&M Alnwick will operate across 21,492sqft. of space. To bring customers the best possible B&M experience, the unit has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme before officially opening its doors to the public.

The store also boasts a 9,164sqft. garden centre, selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials for green-fingered locals.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price, including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There is also a fantastic selection of quality health & beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

To celebrate the grand opening of B&M Alnwick, store colleagues gathered around outside to mark the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon cutting before welcoming their very first customers through the doors. They were joined by local charity, Mind & Sole, who took centre stage to officially open the new store.

Mind & Sole is a multi-award winning, unique, and inspirational charity which provides support for people in Alnwick and the surrounding towns and villages. Entirely volunteer led and run, the aim is to encourage people to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing, as well as helping to build confidence. They offer a wide range of activities within the Mind & Sole hub, where all activities are focused on encouraging people to become more active in their daily lives, get involved in new activities, meet new people, and have new experiences in order to support them with their mental health and wellbeing.

The store manager also commented: “Mind & Sole really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
