Blackpool Relocation Complete as New Store Moves to Palatine Building
10 August 2018
B&M completed the long-awaited relocation of its Blackpool store today, with the new location in the Palatine Building welcoming customers.
The addition to B&M's portfolio in the region comes as a huge boost to the local economy, creating 20 more jobs for people from the area, adding to the existing 34 from the old store.
Visitors to the store in Blackpool will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.
As part of the opening celebrations, local charity Aspired Features were invited along as their VIP guests for the day. Local mayor, Cllr Gary Coleman, was also in attendance.
The charity provides long-term, life-changing therapeutic services for vulnerable children and young people in the local community to help them overcome personal challenges and establish new skills to improve their lives.
In addition to opening the new store, the representatives also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part and for all their hard work in the local area.
The store manager, Gary Elliott, said: “The new store was really busy all day and feedback from customers has been great so far.
“A big thank you to Aspired Futures who helped us open the store this morning, we hope that our donation can help them continue the outstanding work they do for the local community.”
