B&M Thrilled to Open New Discount Store in Willowbrook Centre, Bradley Stoke

12 July 2024

B&M were thrilled to open a brand new store in the Willowbrook Centre, Bradley Stoke, on the 12th of July.

The new store has delighted local people as it has brought a welcome boost to the local economy and created 45 jobs in the local area.

Opening its doors at 8am, on Saturday the 12th of July, the new store now spans over 14,000sqft and is packed full of big brands at even better prices! Located at a previous Argos and Poundworld site, the B&M team have completed extensive internal and external refurbishment to provide the best shopping experience for our customers.

Visitors can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from North Bristol & South Gloucestershire Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

North Bristol & South Gloucestershire Foodbank opened in 2012 and feeds on average 1,350 clients each month. The foodbank works together to stopping hunger in the local area and is working to transform into a compassionate Advice First model, guiding individuals towards lasting solutions, fostering community hubs that extend beyond emergency food, and changing perceptions to create empathy about poverty. The commitment to efficiency, financial stability, and strategic planning ensures that every action brings us closer to a future without the need for foodbanks.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The store manager also commented: “North Bristol & South Gloucestershire Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
