B&M Sets up Shop in Telford Shopping Centre
25 August 2018
Telford Shopping Centre customers were welcomed this morning with the grand opening of B&M's new store.
The new store is a boost to the local community with more than 40 jobs created for people from the area.
Visitors to the store will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.
As part of the opening day celebrations, the store staff were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment, so picked No Panic.
The charity helps people who suffer from Panic Attacks, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and other related anxiety disorders.
They offer people the support, skills and services they need to manage their condition and work towards recovery, enabling them to lead more fulfilled lives.
In addition to opening the new store, they were given £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for all of their hard work in the community.
The local Mayor, Cllr Rej Mehta, was also in attendance to cut the ribbon and open the new store.
The store manager, Liza Lowson, said: “The team from No Panic really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community. We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue their great work.”
She also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, so we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
