B&M's New Bingley Store Officially Opens to the Public
13 March 2019
Bingley in West Yorkshire became the latest location for one of B&M's stores, with the long-awaited opening taking place this morning.
The new store has seen a major internal and external development programme undertaken to make sure it's ready for customers.
It comes as a huge boost to the local economy, with more than 45 people from the local area hired. Colleagues were given the choice of which charity they'd like to act as VIPs to officially open the new store.
Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia took centre stage to cut the ribbon in front of excited customers.
The charity offers help and support to families across Yorkshire who have dyslexia. They do this through their helpline, as well as a computer club for children aged 8+, where they can learn touch-type and basic word processor skills.
As a thank you for the hard work they do in the community, and for helping to open the new B&M store, the charity have been handed £250 worth of vouchers.
A wide range of branded products are available to purchase in-store, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.
The store also boasts its own garden centre, with everything from seeds to pots, and hundreds of plant varieties delivered fresh to the store.
The store manager, Karl Warrington, said: “The team from Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local children in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have worked really hard to get the store ready for opening day. We can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
