B&M Re-Opens at Brookway Retail Park
30 March 2018
B&M Baguley re-opened its doors today after expansion work was finally completed.
Visitors to the store will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.
The store has been able to hire an additional 15 people from the local area, increasing the number of people B&M employ in the county to over 200.
As part of the opening celebrations, B&M employees invited local charity, Baguley Athletic Football Club, to be their VIP for the day.
The club is run by volunteers who manage four football teams in the community, as well as supporting local charities and events to help local people unite.
They were handed £250 worth of vouchers to spend in-store as a thank you for their hard work in the community, and for opening the new store.
They’re going to use their vouchers for their Summer Charity Auction, which will help the Children’s Ward at Wythenshawe Hospital.
The store manager, Colin Pollard, said: “The team from Baguley Athletic Football Club really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “The new team have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open next Friday and show customers their brand new B&M Baguley.”
