B&M Opens New Store in Thameshead, London

B&M were excited to announce the opening of a new discount store in Thameshead, London.

After taking possession of a previous Wilko store the B&M team completed extensive internal and external refurbishment of the store to now provide over 20,000sqft of big brands at even better prices. The new store opened on the 22nd of February at 8am and will provide over 50 jobs for the local area.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from the to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Listening Ears is a charity that is dedicated to diminishing the shadows of isolation and loneliness. They do this through vibrant integration activities and impactful outreach services, to create opportunities for people to forge meaningful connections and engage actively in their community. Some of their key projects include Feel Good Centres, which hosts social gatherings for those over 50 and the elderly to reduce their chances of loneliness; Community Angels, which is a volunteer-led service which extends companionship to the bereaved through home visits and phone calls and Food Bank, which offers food donations and essential items for underprivileged community members.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The store manager also commented: “Listening Ears really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
