B&M Opens New & Improved Sunderland Store
02 March 2017
Following a brief closure B&M officially reopened one of their Sunderland stores with the help of some very special guests.
The Bargains Store at Pallion Retail Park shut their tills for the last time on Saturday 25th February but have swiftly opened the doors at their new home just a short walk away.
Still located at the retail park on Woodbine Terrace, the B&M staff have moved from Unit 2 to their new home at Unit B, former location of Matalan.
The new site is more than double the size of the previous store and with 17,000 sq ft of sales space, they can offer customers an even bigger selection of great bargains, from grocery, toiletries and health & beauty to toys, homeware and DIY.
And to celebrate the grand re-opening, Sunderland’s local animal charity Pawz for Thought were invited to be part of their special day.
Operating throughout the north east, Pawz for Thought is a volunteer organisation for which supporters give their free time and money to help animals in need and tackle animal welfare issues.
Representatives from the charity received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part, while local Councillor Alan Emerson was also invited to cut the ribbon and officially open the store.
