B&M Opens Brand New Store in Southport with Garden Centre

Customers in Southport were delighted this morning following the grand opening of their brand new B&M Store and garden centre.

Located on Central 12 Retail Park, the 20,009sqft. store boasts a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, electricals, pet products, health & beauty and much more.

Store staff were delighted to welcome local charity, Southport Foodbank as VIPs, who were invited to cut the ribbon on opening day. Southport Foodbank aim to combat poverty and hunger in the community, by supporting local people who are in crisis, providing three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food to those in need. In 2022, they helped local people experiencing crisis with over 42,000 meals. They work to give people a hand up in life, identifying the root cause of the need and either offer support with this, or refer them to other organisations who can help. 

In addition to opening the new store, the charity also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part and for all their hard work.

The store manager said: "We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M store.”
