B&M Opens Brand New Coypool Bargains Store
03 November 2016
A new B&M Bargains store was opened in Coypool on Thursday, in a welcome boost to the local economy.
Based on Coypool Retail Park, the new store has created more than 50 jobs for people in the area, continuing the retailer’s mantra of recruiting locally.
The former Furniture Land store has undergone a full internal and external refurbishment, and now boasts B&M’s wide ranges of branded and own label goods, including toys, food & drink & home products.
B&M extended an invitation to Children’s Hospice Southwest, who gratefully accepted the offer of being the retailer’s Local Hero for the day.
Given to an organisation or individual who has made an important contribution to their community, the B&M Local Hero also receives £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part.
The Hospice provide care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West.
They offer wide ranging care, including respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care, at their three hospices; Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in mid Cornwall.
In addition to the charity, B&M also invited along the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Pauline Murphy, to add extra ceremony to proceedings.
A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’ve felt really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customer are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We’ve all been really excited to get the doors open and welcome our fantastic customers into the new Coypool store!”
