B&M Officially Reopens Derby Store on Ascot Drive
01 November 2019
Following an internal and external makeover programme, B&M has officially reopened its Derby store on Ascot Drive.
The store closed on October 27th for work to be completed and colleagues have worked tirelessly to get the refurbished store ready for reopening day.
Originally, 40 members of staff were employed, but due to the bigger space, an additional 8 have been hired.
They chose local charity, Me and Dee, to take centre stage and unveil the new-look store. As a thank you for their participation, the charity were given £250 of vouchers.
The charity arrange seaside holidays on the Lincolnshire coast for families to help create special moments and memories to both children and adults who have a life threatening, life limiting or a terminal condition.
The store manager, Kelly Goodwin, said: “The team at Me and Dee really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
