B&M Leeds Relocates to Larger and More Impressive Store in St George's Retail Park

The community of Leeds wanted a bigger and better B&M store, so B&M delivered!

The previous Middleton District Shopping Centre store shut its tills for the final time on Wednesday 6th November 2024 after listening to feedback from regular shoppers, who all declared they wanted an even bigger selection of brands, groceries and products available at B&M's sparkling prices.

Customers didn't have to wait long for their new store however as B&M Leeds is now back in action at St George's Retail Park, occupying its new unit with a sales space of 21,506sqft. full of homeware, DIY, toys, gifts, electricals, and so much more.

Aside from an increase in new and exciting products, the store will also boast its own 6,178sqft. garden centre, selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials for green-fingered shoppers.

B&M's store manager said: "We really wanted a bigger and better store for our customers, giving them even more big, branded products. We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store."

To celebrate the exciting event, B&M store colleagues gathered at the doors of their new store and were joined by local charity, Leeds North & West Foodbank, to mark the occasion with a ceremonial grand opening and ribbon cut.

Leeds North & West Foodbank provide three nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussel Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Leeds North & West Foodbank is a project funded by local churches and community groups, working together to stop hunger in the local area. Founded in Moortown in 2013 and growing to 7 foodbank centres now open to clients across North & West Leeds and running deliveries twice a week to those in areas without a centre.

B&M's store manager also commented: "Leeds North & West Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do."
