B&M Ecstatic to Open New Discount Store in Oakham

B&M delighted the people of Oakham on Saturday the 22nd of June, with the grand opening of a new discount store.

The new store has brought a welcome boost to the local economy with the creation of 50 jobs for local people. After taking possesion of a previous Wilko store the B&M team have been hard at work to create the very best new store for the people of Oakham.

After extensive internal and external refurbishment works were completed the new store now boasts over 13,000sqft of top quality products for the very best price.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Rutland Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Rutland Foodbank were founded in 2013 and don’t believe that anyone in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide seven days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They tirelessly work towards their goal of combating poverty and hunger in their local area.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The store manager also commented: “Rutland Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
