B&M Delighted to Open New Store in the Grays Shopping Centre, Essex

At 8am on Saturday the 30th of November B&M proudly opened its brand new discount store in the Grays Shopping Centre, Essex.

The B&M team took possession of a new build store and immediately began renovation works on the site. Once complete, the store now boasts over 16,000sqft of high quality brands at prices that can't be beat.

The new B&M has also brought a welcome boost to the local economy with the creation of 69 jobs for local people.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Thurrock Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Thurrock Foodbank was set up in 2012 as an initiative of the local churches in the borough. They started with three centres and have grown to 10 centres spread across the borough to provide help to those in food crisis. Thurrock Foodbank’s success is largely down to the enthusiasm of its volunteers and the generosity of local people who want to help their neighbours in crisis.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs
for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The store manager also commented: “Thurrock Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
