06 April 2024
The community of Mildenhall in Suffolk welcomed brand-new B&M store into their midst this morning at 8am on Saturday 6th April 2024. The opening of this new store is a welcome boost to the local economy, providing 50 jobs for people in the area.
The store manager of B&M was thrilled to welcome in customers at the grand opening and stated: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of new jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
Customers can now shop B&M’s brilliant range of branded groceries for the best possible price and pick up all the food, drink and pet food essentials they need. There is also a fantastic selection of quality health & beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more.
Unveiling this exciting new discount store was local charity King’s Project Food Bank, who were nominated by store colleagues to take centre stage for all the hard work they do in the local community.
King’s Project Food Bank is an initiative and community support facility created and managed by King’s Church Mildenhall. The charity was founded with the purpose of helping those in need, especially those requiring emergency food supplies. They rely on individuals and organisations for donations to support and continue the project.
B&M’s store manager was proud to be able to show support for this great cause and commented: “King’s Project Food Bank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
Mildenhall’s new B&M store has taken possession of a previous Wilko which occupies a space of 13,624sqft after undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment, providing customers with a great place to explore and shop.
