B&M Continues Growth with Store Opening in Plymouth
30 September 2017
B&M Stores continued its growth today as a new store was opened on Transit Way Retail Park in Plymouth.
The latest addition to B&M's portfolio in the region comes as a huge boost to the local economy after it took over a former Magnet store, employing more than 60 people from the area.
As part of the opening day celebrations, B&M colleagues invited local charity, Plymouth Ladies Charity Club, to be their VIP for the day.
The charity has recently launched, and was created to provide grants for children and young adults in the Plymouth area. They aim to help those who need help in a variety of circumstances, this can include help with respite or additional child care, the purchase of sports or musical equipment, and much more.
They received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part and for all of their hard work in the local community.
The store manager, Jane Hoskins, said: “The team from Plymouth Ladies Charity Club really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
She also commented: “The new team have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day and we can’t wait to get the doors open Saturday and show customers their new B&M Plymouth.”
