B&M Complete Relocation in Southampton

The long-awaited grand re-opening of B&M's Millbrook store has arrived. The opening of the new store has created more than 30 jobs for local people.

The store is almost double in size with over 40,000 sq. ft. of space, offering visitors to the store a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, toiletries, health & beauty and pet ranges, plus a brand new garden centre.

The new colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Southampton City Mission to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Southampton City Mission are an independent and non-denominational Christian Mission who work with all flavours of Church in Southampton, joining people together and encouraging networks of different groups together in the city.

In addition to opening the store, the team also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.  

The store manager at B&M Millbrook said: “Southampton City Mission really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, and continue to do.”

They also commented: “A big thank you to Southampton City Mission who helped us open the store this morning, we hope that our donation can help them continue the outstanding work they do for the local community.”
