B&M Announce Opening of New Solihull Store

B&M are excited to announce the opening of a new bargain discount store in Solihull.
Located in the Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre the new store will create more than 45 jobs for local people. After taking possession of a previous Wilko store, B&M have undertaken extensive internal and external refurbishment to revamp the store for the people of Solihull. The new store opened at 8am Thursday 25th January and will provide over 22,000 sqft of big brands at the best prices.
Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.
The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose two local charities to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store. They chose from the teams from The Colebridge Trust charity and the Social Life Opportunities charity.
The Colebridge Trust is a charity which aims to create a cohesive society where people are enabled to achieve their full potential and where barriers to living inclusive, happy, and healthy lives. They do this by helping local people get into work, whilst tackling existing barriers that can aid people in getting back onto the path to employment. This includes mental and physical health support, personal finances, relationships, addiction, education, and skills.
Social Life Opportunities is a charity that supports adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities. They employ 200 highly trained individuals, as well as a pool of volunteers, who are dedicated to giving those in their care the best possible experiences. This includes offering a range of engaging term time and holiday short breaks for children and young people aged 4+, a variety of daytime projects and activities for adults 18+ and a comprehensive range of support, including
Supported Living and Personal Assistant services, which are designed to enhance the well-being and independence of individuals.
In addition to opening the store, the teams will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers each, which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.
The store manager, said: “It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.”
