Almost 100 Hired as Brand New B&M Store Opens in Cardiff

Customers in Cardiff were excited this morning as their brand new B&M Store on The Avenue Retail Park opened.

The latest B&M store, which has hired more than 80 locals, will allow customers to experience the variety retailer’s great selection of branded and own label products.

With everything from toys and homewares to groceries and pet, there’s plenty of items for visitors to the B&M store to shop.

And store staff were delighted to welcome Cardiff Foodbank as their VIP, who were invited to cut the ribbon on opening day.

Cardiff Foodbank are part f a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. The charity provides three-day nutritionally balanced emergency food and support for individuals and families in Cardiff.

In addition to opening the new store, the charity received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part and for all their hard work in the community.

The store manager said: "It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors this morning, the feedback so far has been fantastic.

"A big thank you to the team at Cardiff Foodbank who helped us open the store today, we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do in supporting the local people."
