60 Jobs Created in Preston with New B&M Store
07 November 2019
Preston has welcomed its latest B&M store to the region with 60 locals hired at the new location on Fulwood Central Retail Park.
Eager customers queued on Thursday morning, keen to be the first customers through B&M's doors.
As part of the opening day festivities, Spire were nominated by store colleagues as their chosen charity, donating £250 worth of vouchers as a thank you for all of the hard work they do for the community.
The charity help local people who have a learning disability to empower them to live their life and achieve their goals and dreams.
Alongside the charity, the Local Mayor, Cllr David Barrow, was also in attendance.
The store contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.
The store manager, Ben McDonald, said: “The team at Spire really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
