Kitchen
It’s the heart of the home, the place where we catch up with family and cook up a storm. Autumn is the ideal time to get your kitchen ready for winter warmer recipes with a deep clean.
While kitchen surfaces are regularly cleaned, appliances like dishwashers are often overlooked. Limescale and grease can gradually build up, clogging and causing unpleasant smells that have no place in a clean kitchen! Give your dishwasher some instant TLC with Finish Dishwasher Cleaner. It deep-cleans your dishwasher and fills your kitchen with a squeaky clean citrus scent.
B&M Top Tip: To avoid unpleasant odours and costly repairs, make sure you thoroughly rinse dishes and cutlery before loading your dishwasher.
Laundry
Show your laundry some love and wash away the week with B&M’s superb selection of smart cleaning solutions. Give your washing machine a boost, ready for the extra heavy loads of winter months with a washing machine cleaner. We stock a range from Vamoosh, Dettol and Fabulosa with plenty of delightful scents to pick from. Also, have a little Google and see if your specific washing machine or washer and dryer has a filter to clean out.
Wardrobe
Now your machine is fighting fit, let's get those summer clothes clean and ready to store. For cleaner, fresher results and even more savings, we've got a variety of products that you'll want to try.
Ariel All-in-1 Laundry Pods are a great choice for clean and fresh laundry. They are tough on stains but gentle on your senses. Get whiter clothes with Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White. It removes stains and brings back brightness, making your clothes look brand new.
Get any of your autumn/winter wardrobe out and give anything a quick wash that smells a little musty after storage. Gone off some of the styles? To keep your wardrobe tidy, sell or give away clothes you won't wear.
Bedding
Soften and freshen bed linen, and enjoy a beautiful new fragrance in your bedroom with Lenor Fabric Softener X Mrs Hinch. You'll love these fresh-scented results in between washes for up to a week with this great autumn cleaning product.
Bathroom
The smallest room in the house requires big hygiene standards. A focus for Autumn house cleaning should always be the bathroom. Deep-clean your toilet with some bleach or toilet duck and a toilet brush. Keep it fresh with every flush by adding a Bloo toilet block for a clean, fresh scent that lasts up to 240 flushes.
Living Room
What could be more inviting than opening the door to a beautifully clean and scented living room? An Airwick Freshmatic automatically releases constant bursts of beautiful-smelling fragrance for up to 60 days (based on a low setting). This means you get to enjoy luxurious results without lifting a finger!
B&M Top Tip: Why stop at a fresh living room? Choose a different Airwick scent to create the perfect atmosphere and complement décor throughout your home.

Deep Cleaning Checklist
Is your home not feeling sparkling yet? Here are some other areas to clean if you're looking for a next level Autumn cleaning checklist:
- Dust your decor - we often dust underneath items on shelves. Now is an opportunity to take the time to dust each object thoroughly.
- Clean the floors - we aren't talking about pushing the vacuum cleaner around. We mean wet mopping hard floors and wet vacuuming your carpets. It's best to do this when there's enough heat in the air for them to dry without a high heating cost.
- Clean light fixtures - grab a ladder and get those lamp shades or (if you're fancy) chandeliers nice and sparkly.
- Clean those windows - get the glass cleaner and make those windows shine. As we start getting less light, getting as much as possible through that glass is important! Go above and beyond by caulking around them to keep bills down over winter.
- Defrost the freezer - if you live anywhere with a chance of snow, then come winter, you'll be very happy with your past self for maximising your freezer storage space.
- Clean the garage, loft or basement - an often neglected area of the house. Check for leaks, moisture and pests before you spend the winter with them.
- Clean your microwave - it's often neglected in a corner until something explodes in there. Clean it inside with spray and a cloth. Then, heat cut lemons in water in the microwave for a cleaner "electric oven".

Garden Clean Up
If your clean and sparkly home is lucky enough to have a garden, then an Autumn garden clean-up will round off this season's cleaning spree perfectly.
Use any dry days to dig up your vegetable garden, clear away fallen leaves, and clean your gutters and drains. Put any outdoor furniture to bed when it's too chilly for relaxing outside.
It's a good idea to clean outdoor paths to remove moss and mud, ensuring they are safe to walk on when wet. Take your garden tools and give them a good clean before storing them in a shed or garage. Then they'll be in tip-top condition, ready for early Spring planting
