Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Toy Appeal 2024 - Find Your Nearest B&M Drop-Off Point
18 November 2024 - All UK and Northern Ireland Charity News
Christmas is fast approaching and, although we’re very excited here at B&M, for the millions of struggling children and families across the country it can be a really difficult time of year.
The cost-of-living crisis is still hitting families hard, with many who had been just about able to manage now slipping into poverty. They’re having to decide whether to heat their homes or put food on the table, so Christmas presents are a luxury they simply can't afford.
After 10 years of success, we’re once again partnering with Cash for Kids, backing their Mission Christmas appeal to help bring some Christmas magic to disadvantaged children across the UK. Last year, B&M customers helped raise over £17.4 million which made sure that 290,604 children and young people had a visit from Santa.
We’re asking for your help again to donate gifts and make an even bigger difference this year, so no child wakes up without a present on Christmas Day!
A record number of our stores will be included in the 2024 appeal – so it’s now easier than ever to donate gifts. With Cash for Kids, what’s raised in each area stays in each area so you can be sure that your donations will benefit a child in your region.
B&M stores across the North of England, the Midlands, East Scotland, South Wales, the South Coast, Cornwall and Northern Ireland are all supporting the appeal. The past few years have been unlike any other and we believe that, thanks to your support, we’ll be able to carry on helping the families and children that need it the most at this crucial time of year.
Where can I drop off gifts?
We've set up drop-off points in a selection of our stores across the UK. Simply pick up an extra gift (or two!) while Christmas shopping and donate it at any participating B&M store. You can find your nearest B&M drop-off location using our handy Store Finder.
You can also visit Cash for Kids and enter your postcode into their Mission Christmas map to find your nearest alternative drop-off location.
What can be donated?
Cash for Kids welcomes all gift donations, but especially struggles to receive enough items that are suitable for babies (bottles, bibs, blankets, teething toys) and teenagers (cosmetics, stationery, electrical items e.g. headphones) – so these are especially welcome! Unfortunately, we can’t accept donations of food for the appeal (including chocolate).
All we ask is that the gifts are brand new (still in their packaging) and unwrapped.
When’s the last date to drop off?
The last day to drop-off is Wednesday 18th December. This will give Cash for Kids enough time to collect the gifts and distribute them in time for Christmas Eve.
Can I get involved in other ways?
Yes! Visit Cash for Kids to find out more. You can donate cash online, sign up to fundraise and much, much more.
Thank you in advance for supporting such an incredible cause – we couldn’t do it without the amazing help from our wonderful customers.
