B&M Proud to Open New Store in Beckton
10 March 2016
B&M has continued its impressive growth this year, with the opening of a brand new store in east London on Thursday.
The brand new B&M Beckton store has created 60 jobs for local people, providing a welcome boost for the region.
Based at the former Boots in the Triangle Retail Park, the Bargain store has undergone a substantial refurbishment to ensure new customers enjoy a great shopping experience.
Visitors to the shop can browse B&M’s wide variety of branded and own label products, including toys, food & drink and seasonal ranges.
As part of B&M’s Local Hero initiative, representatives from Richard House Children’s Hospice were invited along to cut the ribbon and help celebrate the new store’s opening.
The Hospice delivers clinical care, short breaks and other residential services to children and young adults, while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more.
The purpose built Beckton based Hospice accepts referrals from families across the capital, offering their services free of charge with funding provided by public generosity.
As well as taking part in the opening ceremony, they also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for participating in the day’s events.
Also in attendance at the event was Councillor Joy Laguda, MBE, Chair of Council and Civic Lead - who helped to ensure the day was one remembered by all in attendance.
Luke Emin, store manager at B&M Beckton, said: “We have been feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope our customers are delighted with their new store.
“We have been really excited to get the doors open and finally welcome the people of Beckton through the doors.”
Visitors to the new store on Thursday were treated to a whole host of special celebrations, including amazing branded giveaways and a free face painter – helping to keep smiles on everybody’s faces.
