B&M Hemel Hempstead Store Relocates to Marlowes Shopping Centre

02 May 2024

The Hemel Hempstead B&M store re-opened its doors this morning on Thursday 2nd May at 8am, after relocating to a bigger and better unit in Marlowes Shopping Centre.

Following feedback from regular shoppers who requested a larger range to shop from, the original store shut their tills for the final time on Friday 26th April 2024 and are now inhabiting a former Wilko’s which provides a larger space of 24,811sqft.

The relocation of this store has significantly boosted the local economy, creating an additional 30 jobs for locals and offering the community a wider selection of bargains to shop from, including a great range of groceries, toiletries, health & beauty, toy, homeware, DIY and more.

The store manager of B&M Hemel Hempstead said: “We wanted a bigger and better store for our customers, giving them even more big, branded products.”

“We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store and we’re really excited to re-open the doors.”

To help unveil the exciting relocation to Marlowes Shopping Centre, store colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity who deserves to shine in the spotlight for the great work they do within the community. They chose the team from Alzheimer’s Society to take the cake and officially present the new store in all its glory.

The store manager of B&M Hemel Hempstead commented: “Alzheimer’s Society really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work that they do.”

The Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future. They tackle every aspect of dementia, ensuring they have the loudest voice campaigning for a better life for those living with dementia.
